This time of the year comes around so quickly, and the memories of my sister Katie become very active in my mind. I want to encourage all to continue the journey that was given to us. Katie wanted us to be involved and continue to find new experiences. Don’t just keep the status quo, move forward, and allow people into our lives that bring the best out of us. So I ask, what are you waiting for? Do it, make whatever it is a priority and shoot for the stars. I know it’s hard, but the status quo isn’t acceptable. Did you let something pass by or someone slip away that shouldn’t have? Perhaps we didn’t allowing someone in because it hurt or we didn’t want to deal with those feeling?
Please take that moment today, to reflect, and make that needed change within. Be open to let other be involved with you or for you to be involved with them. Life didn’t end for us when Katie passed away. It was the beginning of a new chapter. So many more memories to be had. It starts with us taking that first step towards that new adventure ahead. Just give it a try and be open to the future that lies waiting for you.
Remember there are still so many people that need our prayers. Please keep the prayers coming for Robin, Katie’s friend that is in City of Hope having a Stem Cell Transplant to help with her Leukemia. Also, Prayers for Kylie in Alpine who is this special little girl that is almost 2 years old that is fighting for her life with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma.
Keep up the fight friends and continue the journey.
